As Assistant Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Zemin is responsible for investment strategy construction and review, mutual fund selection and quantitative analysis, and workflow automation and processes optimization. Zemin has earned the right to use both the CFA® and FRM designations. Zemin is also a SAS Certified Advanced Programmer and has a Bloomberg Essentials Online Training Program Acknowledgement.

Prior to joining Kendall Capital, Zemin received a Master’s degree in Finance from Tulane University and a Master’s degree in Accounting from The George Washington University. While working on his Master’s degree at George Washington University, Zemin interned at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) where he researched myriad public companies for areas of risk and reported to the Oversight Board Committee.

Zemin is particularly fond of Kendall Capital’s flat organizational structure and favorable atmosphere of self-initiative and discretion. Provided with a comfortable research environment, Zemin can fully utilize his quantitative and analytical skills, which he obtained through his CFA®, FRM, and academic journey, to perform detailed security analysis and optimize asset allocations for our clients from a risk-return perspective.

Zemin is from Shanghai, China, and moved to the Washington, DC area in 2014. In his spare time, Zemin enjoys watching movies and spending time at the gym.
